Looking Forward

It may seem like things have been quiet over at WWR - but that is not at all the case! Since our excitement about officially gaining our non-profit status, we've been busy planning behind the scenes. Here's a glimpse at what we've been doing!

GIFT CERTIFICATES!
Just in time for the holiday season, we've created Gift Certificates! Ask for the gift of POWER during this holiday season, for your birthday, or just because. A certificate for $10 will get you a t-shirt, $25 will get you a 1.5 hour workshop, or $45 will get you an entire workshop. If those amounts aren't right for your gift givers, we can do any other amount, too. Giving a gift certificate to a friend is also a great way to encourage other women to empower themselves while spending some great quality time together.

PRIVATE WORKSHOPS!
Are you looking for a fun and different event for you and up to 5 friends? Schedule a private workshop for your next girl's night! We'll help you select a project from one of our existing project or help you think about something new to build! Then, spend three great hours learning, creating, and bonding with your friends.

SPACE UPDATES!
One of the big issues we're trying to tackle is heat in the workshop and a new roof. Working in brick building without insulation during the winter months, plus concern about having a water-tight roof to keep all of our wood dry, we're working to prioritize updates to our space. We want to be able to offer workshops through the winter without having to wear gloves while building. That doesn't sound fun.

WWR GROWTH!
Most importantly, we're growing in all sorts of ways!
  • We've added a few new board members and we are so thrilled to have them. With all that we want to do in our community, many hands will make our work go more quickly.
  • We've had amazing conversations with the potential to build new partnerships. One recent conversation in particular allows us to see how we can begin to fulfill our mission in new ways.
  • We joined Instagram! Check us out there and keep up with us on Facebook
  • We're planning new workshops, but keeping old favorites. Be on the lookout for an explanation of our Seasonal Signpost Workshop Series, as well as polls to vote on which workshops you want to see and/or wish we had.
We can't wait to share more with you and can't wait to see you at upcoming workshops!
